PATH TO YOUR PADI IDC IN PHUKETThe PADI System of education is one of the best ways if you want to become scuba diving Instructor as you probably want to teach your friends and your family with the easiest scuba diving education approach. However, depending on your certification level or even if you are not a certified diver yet, here is the path for your new adventurous life style. NO PREVIOUS SCUBA DIVING EXPERIENCEHow to start? Most people begin their diving education with the Open Water Diver course to learn the basics mechanics of scuba and it takes three to four days to complete it, depending where you learn. This certification qualifies you to dive with any other similarly diver, up to 18m. If for time reasons, you don't have now three or more days to learn then you can gain the Scuba Diver qualification. This also qualifies you, before you upgrade to the Open Water Diver level, to dive up to 12m with any PADI professional. OPEN WATER DIVER OR EQUIVALENT CERTIFICATIONHow to start? To enable you to continue and to progress onto the IDC path, you will have to complete the Advanced Open Water Diver course. With no swimming pools sessions, unless required, the emphasis on this course is just getting out diving, on different dive sites, and doing an introduction to five new areas including the underwater navigation and deep diving. If for any reason you would like to split the course into two parts or receiving two cert., you can still take the Adventure Diver program. All the possible dives you may decide to do on both courses are explained in the PADI Adventure in Diving book. So, even you have done only few dives, you can still read about any additional dives that may interest you and seek advice from Alain to go out diving. ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER OR EQUIVALENT CERTIFICATIONHow to start? The Rescue Diver course is the next logical step in your dive education as your skills develop and you in water comfort level increases. It will build your rescue scenario management skills as well as your personal rescue techniques over four to five days and you should be able after to assist, if needed, fellow divers. A recognised first aid certificate is required to completion of the Rescue Diver course. So, we strongly recommend you to take the PADI EFR (Emergency First Response) course while you do the Rescue course. The EFR has many components and if you follow it with Alain, you will have the chance to go over the primary and secondary cares, care for children and the use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator). All these courses are very important for your IDC especially since you are going to be evaluated on rescue skills or maybe more important, you want to be really prepared to function as entry level instructor by taking the EFR Speciality Instructor. RESCUE DIVER OR EQUIVALENT CERTIFICATIONHow to start? The Divemaster course qualifies you to the first PADI professional level and you will learn how to lead groups of certified diver, to supervise students in training with an instructor and scuba diving theory. All of this is making the IDC's foundation and the advantage to follow the course with Alain in Phuket, Thailand, is simply that he will get you a more solid structure for your Divemaster level and for latter, as Open Water Scuba Instructor. What is required next?
